Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Spotted On Test | V3Cars
After tasting success with the Thar, XUV700 and Scorpio N, Mahindra are now keen to update the XUV300 with a major facelift. The XUV300 facelift will continue to rival the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Spotted On Test
Mahindra XUV300 is currently one of the few sub-compact SUVs that hasn’t received a major update since its launch. Mahindra is set to change that with a major facelift for the B2-segment SUV. While the camouflage doesn’t reveal any perceptible changes, we expect the XUV300 facelift to feature redesigned front and rear profiles along with an updated interior layout.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Exterior Changes
The XUV 300 facelift test mule was spotted with regular looking round headlamps. However, the production-spec model will boast a new LED headlights design that is likely to resemble the XUV700’s headlamps. Apart from that, the front profile could also feature a bigger radiator grille along with a redesigned bumper. We do not expect Mahindra to change the dimensions of the XUV300 with the upcoming facelift. Hence, the XUV300 facelift will continue to measure under 4000mm in length.
Around the side, the silhouette is likely to remain unchanged but Mahindra could offer new alloy wheels, with higher variants likely to offer 17-inch wheels. At the rear, we expect the new XUV300 to follow the market trend of offering a full-width connected LED lighbar with the LED tail lights. On the test car, the number plate is housed on the bumper whereas the current model features the number plate on the boot lid.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Interior Changes
The spy shots don’t reveal any details about the interiors of the XUV300 facelift. That said, we expect Mahindra to overhaul the cabin of the XUV300 facelift and add a lot more features and tech as the latter is the weakest link of the current XUV300. We expect the carmaker to add a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a digital driver’s display in a single slab of glass like in the Mahindra XUV700.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Powertrain Details
In terms of powertrains, we expect the XUV300 to carry with the same set of engine options as the current car. The current model features a 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine that produces 130PS of power at 5000rpm and 230Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 3750rpm. The 1.5L diesel engine option produces 117PS of power at 3750rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 2500rpm. We do not expect Mahindra to offer the less-powerful version of 1.2L turbo petrol engine that’s currently on offer.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Launch Details
While Mahindra are yet to reveal the launch timeline for the XUV300, we expect the carmaker to introduce the XUV300 facelift towards the end of 2023. The XUV300 facelift is likely to give tough competition to the upcoming Tata Nexon facelift, which is also hiding a lot of changes under its camouflage.
