Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Spied – Launch Imminent | V3Cars
It’s no big secret that Mahindra are currently gearing up for the launch of the XUV300 facelift. A test mule of the 2024 XUV300 was spied recently in Chennai by one of our readers and the latest XUV300 spy shots show a production-ready version of Mahindra’s B2-segment SUV. When launched, it will continue to rival B2-segment SUVs like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza as well as the 2024 Nexon.
Mahindra To Launch 2024 XUV300 Soon?
After updating the XUV400 electric SUV recently, it’s now the turn of the XUV300 to receive an overhaul. The spy shots captured over the last few months suggest massive changes to the front and rear end of the XUV300. The front end features all-new LED headlamps and LED DRLs that take inspiration from Mahindra’s BE range of electric SUV concepts revealed last year. The rear end gets a connected tail lamp setup with vertical brake lights that look eerily similar to what’s found on the 2024 Kia Sonet facelift. Apart from new alloy wheel designs, the side profile is likely to remain largely the same.
The interior of the 2024 XUV300 was spied in December last year and the images revealed a whole host of changes. The updated XUV300 will feature an all-new dashboard layout and an updated centre console borrowed from the XUV400. Mahindra have equipped the upcoming XUV300 with a larger, free-floating touchscreen infotainment system as well.
Below the new touchscreen, Mahindra could offer touch-based HVAC controls. The instrument binnacle too gets a redesign and is likely to feature a digital driver’s display this time around. The centre console gains a new wireless charging pad for smartphones and Mahindra have replaced the handbrake lever with an electronic parking brake. While the test mule features a single-pane sunroof, reports suggest the top variant of the XUV300 facelift could get an optional panoramic sunroof as well.
The rest of the cabin, including the steering wheel, seats, front centre armrest and door cards, remain the same design as before. We expect Mahindra to continue offering the 1.2-litre turbo petrol with the lower power output and the 1.5-litre turbo diesel with beige interiors, while variants equipped with the 1.2-litre turbo petrol with the higher power output and direct injection will retain its all-black cabin.
In terms of safety features, the spy shots reveal 3-point seatbelts for all 5 passengers, which is not available in the current SUV. Additionally, Mahindra could also offer ADAS features with the updated XUV300 facelift.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Powertrain Options
We expect the Mahindra XUV300 facelift to feature the same powertrain options as the current model. The XUV300 is currently powered by 3 engine options – a 1.2L turbo petrol with multipoint fuel injection, a 1.2L turbo petrol with direct injection and a 1.5L turbo diesel engine.
The 1.2L turbo petrol with multipoint fuel injection puts out 110PS of power and 200Nm of torque and comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. The 1.2L turbo petrol with direct injection produces 130PS of power and 230Nm of torque and comes with 2 transmission options – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). The 1.5-litre turbo diesel generates 117PS of power and 300Nm of torque. It is offered with the 6-speed MT and 6-speed AMT.
When launched, the XUV300 will continue to rival the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Arena Brezza, Nissan Magite and Renault Kiger. Currently, the XUV300 is priced between Rs. 8.0 lakh and Rs. 14.75 lakh (ex-showroom)
