Mahindra XUV.e8 Electric SUV Spied Inside-Out | V3Cars
Mahindra are set to launch the XUV.e8 electric SUV in 2024. Ahead of its launch, the XUV.e8 was spotted recently, revealing various details about the electric SUV’s exterior design and interior features. Read on to know more about the Mahindra XUV.e8 electric SUV.
Mahindra XUV.e8 Spotted — Exterior Design
Earlier this year, the XUV.e8 was spotted undergoing tests multiple times using the frame of the XUV700. However, the new spy shots reveal the near-production ready design of the XUV.e8. The XUV.e8 test mule revealed design elements such as the new C-shaped LED headlights and the new alloy wheels. The XUV.e8 is likely to offer C-shaped LED headlights with a connecting LED light bar in the middle. Other design elements include flush-fitting door handles and connected LED tail lights.

Furthermore, Mahindra revealed that the XUV.e8 will measure 4740mm in length, 1900mm in width and 1760mm in height. That’s 45mm longer, 10mm wider and 5mm taller than the XUV700. The XUV.e8 will sit on Mahindra’s born-electric INGLO platform and boast a wheelbase of 2762mm. The recently showcased Tata Harrier EV concept also featured 4-wheel-drive, making it a worthy competitor to the XUV.e8.
Mahindra XUV.e8 Interior Spotted
Like the exterior, the interior of thr XUV.e8 features several functional changes over the XUV700. The new image revealed the 3 connected screen binnacle that incorporates the instrument cluster, infotainment system and passenger entertainment display. Furthermore, it also gets a new 2-spoke Mahindra steering wheel with revised control buttons. Another addition includes the copper-coloured gear selector lever, which could complement the copper inserts on the interior trim pieces.

Mahindra XUV.e8 Specifications, Launch Timeline
The XUV.e8 will go on sale with a rear-mounted electric motor that puts out 231PS of power and 380Nm of torque. Unlike the BE range of SUVs, the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 will come with rear-wheel drive only. Mahindra will launch the XUV.e8 in December 2024 and it will be followed by the rest of the Mahindra Born Electric SUV range.
