Earlier in January, Mahindra launched the E optional pack for the XUV700, which added electronic stability program, or ESP, to the base and mid variants of the XUV700. The new optional pack should allow the Mahindra XUV700 to secure a 5-star crash test rating under Global NCAP’s updated testing protocols. As per the new crash test protocol, all the cars need to have ESC as standard fitment to secure a 5-star Global NCAP rating.
In other news, the Mahindra XUV700 achieved the 1 lakh unit sales milestone in the first week of July, making it the fastest SUV from Mahindra’s lineup to achieve this feat. Meanwhile, the Mahindra XUV700 Electric was spotted in May this year. Set to launch in 2024, the XUV700 Electric will arrive before Mahindra’s born electric range of SUVs.
