Mahindra Begin Scorpio N Deliveries | V3Cars

Mahindra have started delivering the highly-anticipated Scorpio N from today. The Indian SUV-maker plans to deliver the first 20,000 Scorpio N SUVs by December 2022.

Mahindra revealed the Scorpio N on June 27 and since then, it has become the talk of the town. Mahindra recorded 25,000 bookings in just 1 minute and they achieved 1 lakh bookings within half an hour. Mahindra also revealed that 40% of all Scorpio bookings are for the automatic variants of the rugged SUV. This share consists of the petrol-automatic, diesel-automatic and diesel-automatic with 4-wheel-drive variants.

Mahindra also revealed that they will initially prioritise deliveries of the Z8 and Z8L variants. Mahindra offer the Scorpio N with 2 engine options — a 2.2L turbo diesel and a 2.0L turbo petrol. The 2.2L turbo diesel engine produces 175PS of power at 3500rpm and up to 400Nm of torque 1750rpm and 2750rpm. The 2.0L turbo petrol engine produces 203PS of power at 5000rpm and 380Nm of torque between 1750rpm and 3000rpm. Both engines come with a choice of 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. However, only the diesel engine offers the option of 4-wheel-drive.
