Mahindra XUV E9 Coupe, BE05 Electric SUVs Spied In Ladakh

Upcoming Mahindra Electric SUVs – XUV.e9 And BE.05 – Spied In Ladakh | V3Cars

Mahindra’s upcoming electric SUVs, the XUV.e9 coupe and BE.05, were spied testing in Ladakh recently. The 2 electric SUVs, which are scheduled to launch in 2025, are currently undergoing tests all across the country. Here’s what the latest spy shots of the upcoming Mahindra electric SUVs reveal.

Mahindra XUV E9 Coupe

Mahindra XUV.e9 Styling And Expected Powertrain

The Mahindra XUV.e9 is the coupe version of the XUV.e8, which shares design similarities with the XUV700 ICE SUV. Like the XUV.e8, the XUV.e9 will be based on Mahindra’s new INGLO EV-dedicated platform. Based on the latest spy shots, we can confirm the production-spec XUV.e9 will feature a closed front grille with sleek LED headlamps and DRLs. The spy shots also reveal the XUV.e9’s aero-optimised alloy wheels, coupe-like roofline, flush-fitting door handles, beefy side cladding and inverted U-shaped LED tail lights. Expect the production-spec XUV.e9 to feature copper coloured accents all around. The XUV.e9’s interior was spied late last year and you can take a look at it by clicking the link below.

The XUV.e9 is likely to feature a dual-motor setup, giving it all-wheel-drive capabilities. With an expected output of 300PS, the electric coupe SUV is likely to offer a top speed of 200kmph.  Mahindra have revealed that the INGLO platform can accommodate 60kWh - 80kWH battery packs. Hence, we could expect the production-spec SUV.e9 to offer a range of over 500km per charge. In terms of dimensions, the XUV.e9 will measure 4790mm in length, 1905mm in width, 1690mm in height and have a wheelbase of 2775mm. When launched in 2025, we expect the Mahindra XUV.e9 to rival the upcoming Tata Harrier EV and Hyundai Creta EV.

Mahindra BE.05 Spy Shots Reveal Concept-Like Design Details

The latest spy shots of the BE.05 confirm Mahindra have retained most of the design details we first saw in the BE.05 concept SUV. The BE.05 will be the first product to go on sale under Mahindra’s Born Electric range of SUVs. It is expected to feature angular styling elements with a coupe-like roofline. The front end features trapezoidal LED DRLs with hidden LED headlamps, while the bumper features vents for cooling. The bonnet features an air duct to aid aerodynamics and the front windshield is steeply raked as well. Featuring a slim windowline and chunky side cladding, the production-spec BE.05 is expected to look sporty yet rugged. The rear windscreen, too, is steeply raked and features twin spoilers at the top edge of the glass. In silhouette, the spy shots of the BE.05 remind this author of the Jaguar I-Pace electric crossover.

Mahindra BE.05

Like the XUV.e9, the BE.05 is based on the INGLO platform and is expected to come equipped with a 60kWh battery pack, offering a range of 450km on a single charge. We expect the BE.05 to feature a dual-motor setup with a total output of around 335PS.
