Mahindra Auto Head Teases Upcoming BE.05 Electric SUV Interior | V3Cars
Mahindra Auto revealed their future range of Born Electric SUVs on August 15, 2022 and since then, there are little to no updates on the development of these SUVs. To ignite excitement in the market, Mahindra auto head recently shared an interior image of the BE.05 in a response to the spied images of the upcoming electric SUV.
Mahindra BE.05 Electric SUV Spied, Interior Teased
A couple of days ago, the first images of the upcoming BE.05 electric SUV surfaced on the web as the electric SUV was testing on public roads. The images showed the BE.05 test car wrapped with camouflage, featuring certain design elements different from the earlier showcased model. The BE.05 will offer C-shaped LED headlights and a tapering roofline as seen in the images.

Responding to the images, Rajesh Jejurikar, executive director, auto & farm sectors, Mahindra Group, shared an interior image of the BE.05 electric SUV. The image reveals the unique interior styling of the electric SUV, which is closer to the concept version. It features a flowing dashboard and its edges seamlessly merge with the doors, giving it a wraparound stance. Furthermore, it gets a grab rail that joins the dashboard with the centre console and also houses the shift mode selector.
Since it is a pre-production prototype, not having an infotainment system in place is understandable. However, the production model of the BE.05 will feature a connected twin screen setup, similar to the XUV700. These screens are likely to offer multiple EV specific features and themes that are missing in the brand’s first electric SUV — the XUV400.

Mahindra BE.05 Powertrain And Launch Details
As per the Mahindra EV roadmap, the BE.05 will become the first electric SUV under the BE brand to hit the showrooms, which is likely to happen in October 2025. Like other Born Electric models, the BE.05 will also sit on the brand's INGLO electric vehicle architecture. According to the manufacturer, the key aspect of the BE.05 electric SUV will be its sporty design and performance. Furthermore, Mahindra also showcased the hardcore BE.Rall-E concept with off-road-specific touchups.
