Kia Sonet Spotted With New Kia Logo | V3Cars

Kia unveiled the new brand logo back in January 2021. While earlier it was expected that Kia will introduce the new logo in India with the updated Seltos initially, a Sonet with the new Kia logo was spotted at a dealership recently. Save for the new logo, there are no visual changes on the exterior of the spotted car. Kia is expected to introduce the new logo on its cars on 27 April 2021.

Along with a new logo, Kia is also expected to rejig the variant lineup of the sub-4m SUV. While the carmaker has already discontinued the HTK+ petrol DCT and HTK+ diesel AT variants, they are expected to be replaced by two new variants: HTX+ petrol DCT and HTX+ diesel AT.

Save for the new logo and the updated variant list, nothing is expected to be changed on the Sonet. Under the hood, it will continue forward with three engine options: 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (83PS/115Nm), 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine (120PS/172Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (100PS/240Nm and 115PS/250Nm). The 1.2-litre petrol engine is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The turbo-petrol unit can be had with a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is available with a 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic gearbox.

Prices of the Sonet range from Rs 6.79 lakh to Rs 13.09 (ex-showroom Delhi). It takes on likes of the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger and the Nissan Magnite.
