2024 Kia Sonet Facelift To Limit ADAS To Automatic, Discontinue GTX+ ACMT | V3Cars

A leaked brochure for the 2024 Kia Sonet facelift revealed its ADAS features. However, ADAS will only be available with the Sonet automatic variants. Learn more about Kia Sonet’s ADAS features here. Kia Sonet 2024 To Get ADAS With Automatic Variants Only

As per the leaked brochure the Kia Sonet facelift will offer the following ADAS features:

  • Forward collision warning
  • Forward collision assist
  • Lane keep assist
  • Lane departure warning
  • High beam assist
  • Driver attention warning
  • Leading vehicle departure alert

However, these ADAS features will only be available with the GTX Plus and X-Line automatic variants. The leaked brochure suggests the GTX Plus and X-Line variants of the Sonet facelift will be available with 2 engine option with an automatic transmission – the 1.0-litre turbo petrol with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) and the 1.5-litre diesel engine with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Kia To Discontinue Sonet GTX+ With ACMT

Currently, the Kia Sonet GTX+ petrol and diesel variants are available with 2 automatic transmission options each, including

  • 1.0L turbo-petrol ACMT
  • 1.0L turbo petrol DCT
  • 1.5L turbo diesel ACMT
  • 1.5-litre turbo diesel TC

However, according to the leaked brochure, Kia are set to discontinue the ACMT option in the GTX+ variants.

The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces 120PS of power and 172Nm of torque. It is available with a 6-speed auto-clutch manual transmission (ACMT) and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. 

The 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine produces 116PS of power and 250Nm of torque. It is available with a 6-speed manual transmission, 6-speed auto-clutch manual transmission (ACMT) and a 6-speed torque converter (TC) automatic transmission.
