Kia Seltos Diesel Manual Variants Discontinued — ACMT Now Standard | V3Cars
Kia India have updated the Seltos with BS6 phase-2 compliant engines. The updated diesel engine now comes with the auto-clutch manual transmission (ACMT) as standard and the 2023 Seltos diesel is no longer available with a manual transmission option.
Kia Seltos Diesel ACMT Launched
While Kia offered the ACMT option with the Seltos diesel earlier as well, the updated Seltos now offers ACMT as standard across all the diesel variants. Buyers also get the option of a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The earlier 6-speed manual transmission is no longer available with the Seltos diesel.

The base HTE petrol manual variant of the Seltos now costs Rs. 10.89 lakh, which is Rs. 20,000 more than the outgoing model. The top-spec X Line diesel automatic variant of the Seltos now costs Rs. 19.65 lakh, which is Rs. 50,000 more than the outgoing model.
Since the 1.35L turbo petrol engine (1.4L in Kia’s speak) is no longer listed on the brand’s website, the top-spec GTX+ and X Line variants are only available with the 1.5L turbo diesel automatic powertrain option. Apart from the transmission update, the 1.5L normal petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engine are likely to offer similar power and torque outputs as before.

Both the 1.5L normal petrol engine and 1.5L turbo diesel engines of the Kia Seltos now comply with the BS6 phase-2 and road driving emission norms. Furthermore, the 1.5L normal petrol engine is also E20 fuel compatible. It is worth mentioning that all powertrains of the Seltos now offer idle start/stop as standard.
