Kia Carnival Facelift Revealed – Exterior, Interior, Features And Specs

Kia Reveal New Carnival Facelift’s Exterior, Interior, Features And Specifications | V3Cars

After revealing the exterior of the new Kia Carnival MPV, the South Korean carmaker have now released images of the India-bound MPV’s interior as well as its feature list and specifications. The MPV in these images is the updated version of the India-bound KA4 MPV Kia India showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. So let’s take a look.

Kia Carnival Facelift Exterior Design

The updated Carnival facelift offers a more refined design compared to the KA4 showcased at the Auto Expo. Notably, the front end exudes sophistication with a larger tiger nose grille, giving it a commanding presence. The vertical LED headlamps house 4 projector units each for high and low beams, complemented by LED DRLs that extend up to the centre of the bonnet. The LED fog lamps and ADAS radar sensor are position lower down on the bumper.

At the rear, the connected LED tail lamps, roof-mounted spoiler, and rear bumper with faux skid plates elevate the Carnival's premium appeal. Spy shots also hinted at a single-pane sunroof, but expectations for the India-specific variant lean toward a dual-pane sunroof—a highly sought-after feature among Indian car buyers. The Carnival KA4's C-pillar now boasts textured dimples, further adding to the Carnival’s premium appeal. In its home market, the new Carnival is offered 6 colour options – white, blue, grey, black and 2 shades of silver

Kia Carnival Facelift Interior And Features

In its home market South Korea, the new Kia Carnival facelift is offered with the option of 4-, 7- and 9-seater configurations. There are 3 interior themes on offer – taupe, navy gray and beige – too. As reported before, the updated Carnival offers a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a full-digital instrument cluster, and other features such as multi-zone climate control, wireless charging, air purifier and ambient lighting. Rear seat passengers get the option of a 14.6-inch Full HD dual screen mounted on the front seat headrests. These screens are part of Kia’s smart rear seat entertainment system and lets users stream content from OTT platforms.

Kia Carnival Facelift Powertrain Options And India Launch

In South Korea, the Kia Carnival facelift is offered with 3 engine options – a 3.5-litre normal petrol, a 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid and a 2.2-litre turbo diesel. The previous generation Kia Carnival sold in India was offered with the 2.2-litre diesel engine until the MPV was discontinued. We expect Kia India to offer the new model with the same engine option this time around too. In the now-discontinued Carnival, the 2.2-litre diesel engine produced 200PS of power and 440Nm of torque.

Kia Carnival Facelift

The new Kia Carnival facelift is expected to go on sale in India in 2014. When launched, the D2-segment MPV will have no direct rivals in the country. The new Toyota Innova Hycross is the closest competitor to the new Kia Carnival. Since the new Kia Carnival sports an SUV-esque design, it could also serve as an alternative to the D2-segment 3-row SUVs such as the MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.
