Kia Carens Diesel Manual Discontinued — ACMT Launched | V3Cars
The Kia Carens recently received engine updates to meet the upcoming BS6 phase-2 emission standards. With the update, Kia have added the auto-clutch manual transmission (ACMT) with the diesel engine, replacing the 6-speed manual transmission.
Kia Carens Diesel ACMT Launched
The updated Kia Carens now offers ACMT as standard across all the diesel variants. Buyers also get the option of a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The earlier 6-speed manual transmission is no longer available with the Carens diesel.

Similarly, the new 1.5L turbo petrol engine also offers the ACMT option as standard whereas buyers also get the option to get the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The new 1.5L turbo petrol engine replaces the earlier 1.35L turbo petrol engine (1.4L in Kia’s speak).

It is worth mentioning that all 3 powertrain options of the Carens now comply with the BS6 phase-2 emission norms and the petrol engines are also E20 fuel ready.
Updated Kia Carens Prices
The updated Kia Carens’ prices start from Rs. 10.45 lakh and go up to Rs. 18.95 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Take a look at the updated prices of the Kia Carens.

The base Premium 7-seater variant is now priced at Rs. 10.45 lakh, which is Rs. 25,000 more than the outgoing model. The top-spec Luxury Plus 7-seater diesel automatic variant is now priced at Rs. 18.95 lakh, which is Rs. 30,000 more than the outgoing model.
