July 2022 Cars Sales Analysis - MPV YoY, MoM Change, 6-Month Trend | V3Cars

In this July 2022 car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all MPVs in India. Where applicable, we’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales. Lastly, the table with monthly sales of all MPVs for the last 6 months will give you an idea about their 6-month sales trend.

MPV Cars Sales Analysis

MPV Segment July 2022 Car Sales - YoY Change

  • Among the MPVs, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Eeco are the top 2 performers. EEco still stands at the top, with 10,000+ monthly dispatches in July 2022, while Ertiga fell out of the 10k club this month
  • Next best performers in the MPV segment are Toyota Innova Crysta, Kia Carens and Maruti XL6
  • In terms of YoY change, excluding the low-volume Vellfire’s figures, the Triber and Innova reported a 13%+ gain 
  • Among the losers, Ertiga was at the top of the list, with 28% decline in sales, followed by Mahindra Marazzo, with 24% YoY drop in July 2022

MPV Segment July 2022 Car Sales - MoM Change

  • In terms of MoM change, Eeco was the biggest gainer in the month of July 2022, with almost 29% gain, followed by XL6 with 16% gain. This is excluding the low volume Marazzo’s figures.
  • The Carens was the biggest MoM loser with a 24.28% decline in monthly production.
