India-Spec Citroen C5 Aircross Unveiled; Launch Expect By March 2021 | V3Cars

After keeping us waiting for a long time, Citroen has finally unveiled the India-spec C5 Aircross in its entirety. It looks identical to the International-spec model which went on globally in 2018.

 

Citroen C5 Aircross

Under the hood, the C5 Aircross is offered with a diesel engine only. It gets 2.0-litre engine making 177PS of power and 400Nm of peak torque mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It has a claimed fuel economy of 18.6kmpl.

Citroen C5 Aircross will be offered in two variants: Feel and Shine. Standard features on offer include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone AC, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, modular rear seats (three individual rear seats which are individually reclinable and adjustable), powered driver’s seat, tyre pressure monitoring system, auto-dimming IRVM, heated ORVMs, cruise control and puddle lamps. In the top-spec Shine variant, it will get additional features like a powered tailgate, LED headlamps and a panoramic sunroof. 

The C5 Aircross in loaded on the safety front as well. It gets 6 airbags, blind-spot assist,  ABS with EBD, traction control, electronic parking brake, hill launch assist, hill descent control, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat anchors. It also gets hands-free parking which means it can automatically and get in and out of a parking bay.

Although the SUV won’t be equipped with a 4WD system, it will get Citroen’s ‘Grip Control’. It offers five different driving modes depending on the level of traction control. Various modes on offer inlcude Standard, Snow, All-terrain, Sand and the last option is to completely switch off traction control. 

Citreon is expected to launch the C5 Aircross in India by March 2021. Prices are expected to start around Rs 30 lakh. It will take on likes of the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq and the Volkswagen Tiguan.
