Honda Elevate SUV Spotted With HR-V

Honda Elevate Spotted Alongside HR-V In New Spy Shots | V3Cars

Honda Cars India are just a few days away from revealing the new Elevate SUV. Ahead of its debut, the upcoming Elevate was recently spotted parked alongside the Honda HR-V. Read on to know more about the Elevate SUV.

Honda Elevate Vs Honda HR-V — Which One Looks SUV-ish?

The new Honda Elevate parked alongside the HR-V showcases its prominent presence compared to its cousin. It seems taller in the spy images and also boasts a higher bonnet. Furthermore, even the placement of the LED headlights look higher than that of the HR-V. Even though the Elevate looks bigger, don’t mistake the HR-V to be a small SUV since it measures 4340mm in length, 1866mm in width and 1582mm in height.

While the new spy shots only reveal the front profile comparison of both the SUVs, based on the previous spy shots, we can tell that the Elevate will boast a boxy stance along with a flat roof. The HR-V, on the other hand, offers a coupe-esque look thanks to its tapering roofline. Hence, it is safe to assume that the Honda Elevate will impress the buyers who are in the market looking for an SUV with butch styling.

2023 Honda Elevate Expected Features

The biggest highlight of the Honda Elevate is likely to be its advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features. Currently, the MG Astor is the only C-segment SUV to offer ADAS features and the Honda Elevate could soon join the party and ‘elevate’ customer experience.

Take a look at the expected ADAS features of the Elevate SUV:

  • Auto emergency braking (AEB)
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
  • Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)
  • Auto High Beam (AHB)
  • Blind spot camera

The recently released top view of the Honda Elevate confirmed that the SUV will offer a single pane sunroof unlike its rivals which offer panoramic sunroofs. Other feature highlights of the Elevate could include a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 6 airbags, 360-degree parking camera, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, front and rear armrests, automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers.

Honda Elevate Powertrain Details

The Honda Elevate is likely to come with a 1.5L normal petrol engine borrowed from the City sedan. In the City, the 1.5L normal petrol engine produces 121PS of power at 6600rpm and 145Nm of torque at 4300rpm. Transmission choices for the normal petrol engine could include a 6-speed manual and a 7-step CVT. Like the City e:HEV, Honda could also launch a hybrid version of the Elevate with the same 1.5L strong hybrid engine mated to an eCVT.

Honda Elevate Launch Details

Honda will reveal the Elevate on June 6, 2023. We expect the carmaker to commence bookings for the C-segment SUV in the next few weeks. However, a few Honda dealerships have already started accepting unofficial bookings for the upcoming SUV. Honda are likely to launch the Elevate SUV in August 2023. When launched, the Honda Elevate will rival other C-segment SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
