In this December 2023 Kia cars sales analysis, we’ll look at the car sales of Kia for the previous month. Top Gainers (YoY):
- Seltos (C1 - SUV): Seltos emerged as the top gainer in December 2023 compared to the same month in 2022, with a remarkable YoY growth of 66.09%. The number of units sold increased from 5,995 in December 2022 to 9,957 in December 2023. This substantial growth suggests strong market acceptance and demand for the Seltos model.
Top Losers (YoY):
- Sonet (B2 - SUV): Sonet experienced a significant YoY decline, with sales plummeting by -99.83%. The number of units sold dropped from 5,772 in December 2022 to just 10 units in December 2023. Such a sharp decline could be attributed to various factors, including supply chain issues, model updates, or changes in consumer preferences.
- EV6 (D1 - SUV): EV6 also witnessed a notable YoY decline, with sales decreasing by -95.52%. The number of units sold dropped from 134 in December 2022 to 6 in December 2023. December 2023 - Kia Car Sales Figures - MoM Change

Top Gainers (MoM):
- Seltos (C1 - SUV): Despite a month-on-month (MoM) decrease of -14.78%, Seltos retained its position as the highest-selling model for Kia in December 2023. The sales decreased from 11,684 units in November 2023 to 9,957 units in December 2023. While there was a decline, Seltos continued to maintain strong sales.
Top Losers (MoM):
- Sonet (B2 - SUV): Sonet experienced a significant MoM decline of -99.84%, with sales dropping from 6,433 units in November 2023 to just 10 units in December 2023. Such a sharp decrease is most likely due to the upcoming major update announced by the carmaker for the Sonet SUV.
- Carens (C2 - MPV): Carens reported a MoM decrease of -44.52%, with sales declining from 4,620 units in November 2023 to 2,563 units in December 2023.
