Ceat Steel Rad 2 Wheeler Tyres Launched (Press Release) | V3Cars

Ceat have launched a new range of 2 wheeler tyres called the Steel Rad in India. The new range of steel radial tyres are available in 2 versions – Sportrad and Crossrad. Ceat say the new tyres are made to unleash the full potential of high performance motorcycles such as the KTM 390 Duke and RC 390, Bajaj Dominar 400 and Yamaha FZ Series, among others.

The Sportrad tyres offer enhanced cornering stability and a perfect balance of stiffness. They come with slick shoulders for extreme lean angles and an optimised groove design for superior grip in the wet. Sportrad tyres are compatible with KTM RC 390, Duke 390, Bajaj Dominar and TVS Apache RR310 and are priced at Rs. 12,500 for a set.

The Crossrad tyres offer an asymmetrical block tread pattern and transversal grooves to provide superior grip in gravel and mud. It also offers a wider contact area for enhanced cornering grip. The Crossrad tyres are compatible with Yamaha FZ and Suzuki Gixxer range of motorcycles. They are priced at Rs. 4,300 for a set.

In other news, Ceat have announced Geoffrey Emmanuel, the first Indian rider to compete in the FIM Junior World Championship riding in Moto3, as their brand ambassador. Geoffrey Emmanuel is currently working towards participating in the MotoGP World Championship starting from India MotoGP Bharat in September 2024. His journey signifies CEAT's commitment to supporting and endorsing exceptional talent in the world of motorcycle racing.

CEAT Steel Rad tyres are meticulously designed for the performance segment of motorcycles. The road-biased SPORTRAD platform, with an 80:20 on-off road bias, will be initially launched in two sizes: 110/70ZR17 and 150/60ZR17. The CROSSRAD platform, with a 60/40 ON-OFF split, currently offers one size - 140/60R17.
