In this May 2023 Car Sales Analysis article, we’ll look at the total and average sales figures of the 20 top-selling cars in the last 3 months ending May 2023. We’ll also share the monthly sales figures of each of these 20 cars for the last 3 months.

March 2022 - May 2023 - Top-Selling Cars - 3 Month Total & Average

Out of the top 10 performers in the last 3 months, 6 were from Maruti, 2 from Tata and 2 from Hyundai
The Maruti Suzuki WagonR was at the top of the charts in terms of 3-month sales, with 54,460 units dispatched, averaging to over 18,000 units dispatched per month
Kia had 2 out of 4 of its cars (Seltos, Sonet) in the top 20 list in the month of April 2023, but Seltos lost sales in May and fell out of the list in May 2023.
Hyundai retained their position in the top 20 list with 4 spots in May, with the Creta, Venue, Grand i10 Nios and i20
Out of the 20, 10 cars averaged over 10,000 unit sales over the last 3 months
Mahindra had 2 cars – Bolero and Scorpio – in the top 20 list in May 2023
