BYD Seal To Launch On March 5 – Bookings Open | V3Cars
The BYD Seal, which made its India debut at the Auto Expo 2023, is set to launch on March 5, 2024. The Seal will become Build Your Dream’s (BYD) third offering in India after the E6 MPV and Atto 3 SUV.
BYD Seal – Design And Features
Unlike the crossover styling of its rival, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6, the BYD Seal is a proper 3-box sedan. Design highlights include an all-glass roof, 4 boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, LED projector headlights, flush-fitting door handles and a full-width LED taillight at the rear. The BYD Seal is 4800mm long, 1875mm wide and 1460mm high and has a wheelbase of 2920mm. It offers a boot space of 320 litres.
The Seal is likely to offer a claimed range of 700km. It achieves this figure with the help of BYD’s Blade Battery technology. The BYD Seal is based on BYD’s dedicated EV platform – the e-Platform 3.0. Other highlights include BYD’s CTB (cell-to-battery) technology that integrates the battery into the body of the vehicle to improve safety, stability, handling and performance. This allows the Seal to have a 50:50 axle load distribution ratio.
Inside the cabin, the Seal is quite minimalistic and nowhere near as funky as the Atto 3, which could be a thing for executive car buyers looking for elegance over flamboyance. A 15.6-inch rotatable touch screen takes centre stage, while the driver gets a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. Other feature highlights include the aforementioned glass roof and driver assistance systems like adaptive cruise control, lane departure assist, collision avoidance assist, and more.
The electric sedan from BYD was spotted testing near Chennai recently and you can take a closer look at the India-spec BYD Seal below:

The BYD Seal, when launched, will take on the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, Mercedes-Benz EQB and the Volvo XC40 Recharge in terms of price.
