BYD E6 Now Available On Lease In 5 Cities With ORIX Auto | V3Cars
Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, BYD, have partnered with ORIX Auto Infrastructure Services Ltd. for leasing and fleet operations of its E6 MUV.
ORIX have signed the largest order for electric vehicle fleet operation with BYD India. The company will then lend the E6 on rent to multinational companies and private consumers. ORIX will lease the E6 in 5 cities across India, including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
ORIX Auto is a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation and operate the lease of passenger cars and provide transportation-related services like car rentals and business transportation. Through their financial subsidiary, OLFS, the company will offer flexible financial solutions for financing the leased cars.

The BYD E6 is an electric 5-seater MPV. It gets a 71.1kWh battery that produces 95PS of power and 180Nm of torque. It has a claimed city range of 520km and a combined range of 415km. A DC fast charger, if you can find one, can juice it from 30% to 80% in 35 minutes. The BYD E6 costs Rs. 29.15 lakh (ex-showroom).
