August 2022 Cars Sales Analysis

Brand-Wise August 2022 Car Sales - YoY Change

  • In terms of percentage, Citroen posted the best YoY improvement of 1600%. The massive YoY growth is because of the low numbers Citroen posted in the August of 2021 as it only had the C5 Aircross in its portfolio back then. The addition of C3 this year has helped the French carmaker improve its overall sales figure in August 2022
  • Mahindra and Tata posted YoY gains of around 88% and 68%, respectively
  • Maruti Suzuki, too, posted a healthy YoY improvement  of 30%
  • Skoda and Volkswagen reported a rise of nearly 10% and 26%, respectively, in August 2022 YoY comparison
  • Honda lost just over 30% and Renault lost 27% in numbers and were the biggest YoY losers in August 2022
