Aston Martin Valour Design And Features

Drawing inspiration from the iconic V8 Vantage of the 1970s and 1980s, the Valour seamlessly merges elements of the past with modern design. The exterior showcases a harmonious blend of old and new, featuring a clamshell bonnet with a distinctive “horseshoe” vent and twin NACA ducts coupled with retro round headlights. At the rear, the horizontal “light blade” taillights and a prominent spoiler contribute to the nostalgic aesthetic. Enhancing the Valour’s appeal are the stunning 21-inch lightweight forged alloy honeycomb wheels wrapped in new Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tyres. With a range of 21 standard exterior colors available, buyers also have the option to explore the Q by Aston Martin colour palette for a more distinctive look, such as exposed carbon fibre finishes.

The interior of the Valour takes inspiration from the classic woolen tweed, reminiscent of the DBR1 that triumphed at Le Mans in 1959. It also features modern carbon fibre accents and lightweight seats. Other highlights include the rounded wooden shift knob, adding a touch of retro charm to the cabin.

Aston Martin Valour Powertrain Specs

The Valour from Aston Martin features the same 5.2L twin turbo V12 engine as the DBS Superleggera. The front-mounted engine produces 715PS of power and 753Nm of torque and power is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed manual transmission. The Valour also features a mechanical limited-slip differential for enhanced performance capabilities. Other changes over standard Aston Martin supercars include a bespoke suspension system that utilises adaptive dampers and anti-roll bars that are tuned to complement the V12 engine’s grunt.

The Valour also gets additional bracing at the front and rear, enhancing both torsional and lateral stiffness for improved handling and stability. The braking system of the Valour also stands out, incorporating carbon ceramic disc brakes. The front brakes consist of 6-piston, 16-inch carbon ceramic rotors, while the rear brakes utilise 4-piston, 14-inch rotors. This carbon ceramic brake setup contributes to a weight reduction of 23kg compared to the standard steel brakes, further enhancing the Valour’s performance and agility.
