5 Features Mahindra Scorpio N Gets Over Thar | V3Cars
The Mahindra Scorpio N and Mahindra Thar are 2 very capable off-road SUVs money can buy. While the Mahindra Thar is a hardcore off-roader built to tackle the worst off-road trails you can throw at it, the Scorpio N offers a similar experience with a lot more sophistication and practicality. If you are in the market for a hardcore off-roader for under Rs. 20 lakh, one of these will surely cross your mind.
Here, we tell you 5 features that are missing in the Mahindra Thar but present in the new Scorpio N.
1. Electric Sunroof
The Mahindra Scorpio N comes with a crowd favourite feature, an electric sunroof. While it is not a panoramic unit, the sunroof in the Scorpio N will appeal to a lot of buyers. Meanwhile, the Mahindra Thar comes with a hard top and convertible top options.
2. Rear Parking Camera
Mahindra offer the Scorpio N with rear and front parking cameras. On the other hand, the Thar doesn’t come with a parking camera even in the top LX variants. However, Mahindra dealerships do offer a rear parking camera as an optional accessory in the Thar.

3. Projector LED Headlights And Fog Lights
The Mahindra Scorpio N offers projector LED headlights and fog lights that not only look modern but also offer great visibility in the night. Meanwhile the Thar comes with conventional halogen headlights and foglights.
4. Terrain Modes
Mahindra offer the Scorpio N 4-wheel-drive with various terrain modes. These modes include sand, ruts, snow, mud and normal. The Mahindra Thar, on the other hand, does not get any terrain modes.

5. 6 & 7 Seat Option
The Mahindra Scorpio N comes with both 6- and 7-seater options. The 7 seater variants come with bench seats for the middle-row whereas only the top-spec Z8L variant comes with the 6-seater option. Meanwhile, the Thar is a strict 4 seater and access to the second row is via the front doors only. However, Mahindra are reportedly working on a 5-door Thar and it should hit the market very soon.
