The table above shows that the 2023 Verna offers more ADAS features than the City. These features include adaptive cruise control with stop and go, blind spot monitoring detection, rear cross traffic alert and avoidance, driver attention warning and safe exit warning. It is worth mentioning that the City offers adaptive cruise control but it works only at speeds upwards of 30kmph. However, the hybrid variants of the City offer adaptive cruise control with stop and go driving feature. The Verna’s adaptive cruise control works in stop and go traffic as well.

Interestingly, the City doesn’t offer any ADAS feature that the Verna lacks, save for the left-side blind spot monitor. Hence, it is safe to say that the new Verna offers more ADAS features over its arch rival — the Honda City. However, Hyundai only offer the ADAS features in the top-spec SX(O) variants of the new Verna. The Honda City, on the other hand, offers ADAS features in all its variants, save for the base variant.
Furthemore, the City facelift is currently the only car in India to offer ADAS features with both manual and automatic powertrains. The City even offers adaptive cruise control with the petrol manual variants. The new Verna offers its ADAS features with normal petrol CVT, turbo petrol manual and turbo petrol automatic. However, adaptive cruise control remains exclusive to the turbo petrol DCT powertrain. Click the link below to understand how adaptive cruise control functions in the Honda City manual.
