Honda To Offer New Base SV Variant With 2023 City Facelift

2023 Honda City Facelift To Offer New Base SV Variant | V3Cars

Honda Cars India are all set to launch the 2023 City facelift on March 2, 2023. Since Honda will soon discontinue the 4th-gen City, the 5th-gen City will now offer a new base SV variant at more accessible price over the V, VX and ZX variants.

2023 City Facelift To Get Base SV Variant

Our sources confirm that Honda will introduce a new SV variant in the 2023 Honda City lineup. This new variant will replace the 4th-gen City, which was on offer in SV and V variants. The City SV will come with a 1.5L normal petrol engine and a 6-speed manual transmission.

We expect the City SV variant to come fairly loaded with features like an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, remote central locking, electronically-adjustable side mirrors and a reverse parking camera. Higher variants of the City will further offer features like 6 airbags, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, lane watch camera, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and rain sensing wipers.

The City SV will get the 1.5L normal petrol engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. It is likely to produce 121PS of power at 6600rpm and 145Nm of torque at 4300rpm. The updated engine will comply with BS6 phase-2 and road driving emission standards. Honda will not offer the new City facelift with a diesel engine option.

The new City facelift will launch on March 2 and bookings for the sedan are currently open. The addition of a more affordable SV variant should allow Honda to price the new City facelift more aggressively against its rivals.
