2023 Honda City Facelift Launching Tomorrow — All You Need To Know | V3Cars
The 2023 Honda City facelift will launch tomorrow. The 5th-gen City facelift will offer a refreshed design, new features and updated engine options. In this article, let’s see all the changes the City facelift offers over the outgoing model.
2023 Honda City Facelift Cosmetic Changes
The upcoming City facelift will receive a couple of design changes at the front and rear to help differentiate it from the model it replaces. Up front, the new City facelift will get a new grille with a new mesh pattern and slimmer chrome strip, The front bumper will get a revised design with new housings for the fog lights. Around the side, the City facelift will offer new, 16-inch, dual-tone machined alloy wheels. At the rear, the new City facelift will get a redesigned bumper with a new faux diffuser as well.

2023 Honda City Facelift Features
The new Honda City facelift will also offer a couple of new features over the outgoing model, such as:
- Rain-sensing wipers
- Wireless phone charger
- Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)
Honda will offer the ADAS features with both petrol manual and petrol automatic powertrains of the new City. Earlier, ADAS features were exclusive to the City strong hybrid. Apart from that, the new City will also get an updated 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and improved camera quality.
2023 Honda City Facelift Variant Details
The 2023 City will also offer new variants, which will help Honda price the C-segment sedan aggressively against its rivals. The normal petrol powertrain will get a new base SV variant whereas the strong hybrid powertrain will get a new V variant. With the introduction of the new V variant, the City strong hybrid will become more accessible to buyers as earlier, Honda offered the City strong hybrid in the fully-loaded, top-spec ZX variant only.

2023 Honda City Facelift Powertrain Details
The new Honda City will continue with the same 1.5L normal petrol and 1.5L strong hybrid petrol as its predecessor. However, both engines have been updated to comply with BS6 phase-2 emission norms. The power and torque outputs of both engines are likely to remain the same as before. Honda are unlikely to offer the 1.5L turbo diesel engine with the City facelift. The carmaker removed the diesel engine from the Amaze and the City at the start of 2023 and it is unlikely to make a comeback.
