The 2023 Honda City facelift was launched today at a starting price of Rs. 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The new City facelift offers a refreshed design and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features. Honda have added a new base SV variant to the City normal petrol lineup. The City SV normal petrol is priced at Rs. 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom), which brings Honda’s C-segment sedan closer to the starting price of the Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia. Meanwhile, the City hybrid gets a new V variant, which is priced at Rs. 18.89 lakh (ex-showroom).

2023 Honda City Facelift Design Updates

For 2023, the Honda City gets a couple of design updates on the outside. Up front, the new City gets a redesigned grille with a sleeker chrome strip. The redesigned lower bumper gets new fog lamp housing. Around the side, the top variants of the City offer a new set of 16-inch dual-tone machined alloy wheels. At the rear, the new City gets a boot lip spoiler, chrome insert on the tailgate and a faux rear diffuser.

The biggest highlight of the new City facelift is the inclusion of ADAS features with the normal petrol engine. Honda are now offering ADAS features in the V, VX and ZX variants of the City normal petrol and V and ZX variants of the City hybrid. It is worth mentioning that the ADAS features are offered with both manual and automatic transmission options of the City facelift. Currently, the City facelift is the only sedan in its segment to offer ADAS features.

Honda offer the new City facelift with 2 engine options — 1.5L normal petrol and 1.5L strong hybrid petrol. Both the engines now comply with BS6 phase-2 emission and road driving emission standards. Furthermore, both engines are also E20-fuel ready, which will roll out for the masses in 2025.

While the power and torque outputs of both the normal petrol and strong hybrid petrol engines remain the same as before, Honda are now claiming improved fuel efficiency figures for the strong hybrid. The strong hybrid engine now offers 27.13kmpl while the outgoing version offered 26.5kmpl.
