2023 Citroen C3 Aircross Exterior Details

While the C3 Aircross shares its basic design with the C3, it gets a couple of rugged design elements to enhance its SUV appeal. At the front, the C3 Aircross gets a new chrome grille with a black applique on the lower part. The chrome stripes on the grille no longer meet with the LED DRLs, which continue to come in the semi-X shape pattern. The C3 Aircross is unlikely to offer LED headlights and the fog lights are also likely to be halogen units.

Around the side, the C3 Aircross will offer dual-tone alloy wheels which could measure up to 16-inch in size. To further enhance its SUV styling, the C3 Aircross will also get wheel arch cladding and black door edge protection. At the rear, the C3 Aircross could offer split tail lights and the top variants could also offer LED lighting for the tail lights.

2023 Citroen C3 Aircross Interior And Features

The biggest change in the C3 Aircross over the C3 is a bigger and better instrument cluster. The instrument cluster on the C3 Aircross is all digital and it also offers a tachometer, which is sorely missed in the C3. Furthermore, its digital instrument cluster also packs digital fuel and engine temperature gauges along with an ‘eco’ drive indicator as well.

Apart from that, the dashboard of the C3 Aircross seems similar to that of the C3. It gets the same 10.1-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. For the 2nd-row passengers, the C3 Aircross also gets roof-mounted AC vents with blower control. While it’s yet to be confirmed, the C3 Aircross is not likely to offer automatic climate control. Unlike the C3, the C3 Aircross will offer a 3-row seating layout with space for up to 7 passengers. For the 3rd-row passengers, it will also offer 2 type-A USB charging ports.

2023 Citroen C3 Aircross Powertrain Details

The new C3 Aircross is likely to share its powertrains with the C3 hatchback. Citroen offer the C3 with 2 engine options — 1.2L normal petrol and 1.2L turbo petrol. The 1.2L normal petrol engine of the C3 offers 82PS of power at 5750rpm and 115Nm of torque at 3750rpm. The 1.2L turbo petrol engine offers 110PS of power at 5500rpm and 190Nm of torque at 1750rpm. With the C3 Aircross, Citroen could offer the option of both 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission option.

2023 Citroen C3 Aircross Launch And Rivals

Citroen India will unveil the new C3 Aircross on April 27, 2023 and the launch is likely to take place a couple of weeks after the unveiling. Since the C3 Aircross will offer a 3-row seating configuration, it is likely to exceed the sub-4m length and fall in the C-segment. Hence, it could rival other C-segment SUVs and MPVs like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, MG Astor and Maruti Suzuki XL6.
