Maruti Suzuki will offer multiple new features with the 2022 Baleno which were not on offer before. The 2022 Baleno, which is set to be launched on February 23, has a couple of stand out features that caught our attention.

Here are the top 5 features that impressed us.

6 Airbags

The 2022 Baleno will be the first Maruti Suzuki car to offer 6 airbags. Till date, all the Maruti Suzuki cars only offered a maximum of 2 airbags, even on the top trims. The chief rival of the Baleno, the Hyundai i20, has been available with 6 airbags in its top trim for a long time now.

Head-up Display

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be the first car in its segment to offer driver head-up display. The projector will reflect crucial data on a retractable screen at the top of the instrument cluster. It will offer readouts like engine RPM, vehicle speed, gear position indicator, and fuel indicator.

Cruise Control

The 2022 Baleno will also feature a much-awaited feature — cruise control. Not only does the Baleno’s rivals offer this useful feature, even the Swift now offers cruise control. Maruti has equipped the 2022 Baleno with the D-cut steering wheel first offered in the Swift, along with cruise control.

360-degree Parking Camera

2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will also offer a 360-degree parking camera, which will be a first in its class. However, it won’t be the first to offer this feature in this price range. The Nissan Magnite already offers a 360-degree parking camera at considerably lower prices.

Rear AC Vents & Type-C Fast Charging

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will offer rear AC vents, which are missing on the current model. In addition to that, the 2022 Baleno also offers a 12V charging socket and a Type-C charging port for rear passengers.

Those are all the new features of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The 2022 Baleno will give tough competition to the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz, and Volkswagen Polo. We expect Maruti Suzuki to hike the prices of the Baleno considerably over the current model.
