2022 Mahindra Thar Reaches Dealerships With New Logo | V3Cars

After the launch of the Mahindra XUV700, Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic, Mahindra are now rolling out the 2022 Thar with the new twin peaks logo and redesigned centre console controls.

Mahindra have started dispatching the 2022 Thar to their dealerships. The new Thar comes with the twin peaks Mahindra logo on the alloy wheels, key fob and steering wheel. Additionally, the new Thar also gets repositioned controls for the traction control, hill descent control and window lock/unlock. Earlier, the controls for the traction control and hill descent control were placed on the right side of the steering wheel. However, they have now moved to the centre console, replacing the dummy buttons.

The controls on the centre console have also received a redesign. The controls now get a sharper end along with slimmer switches. Another change with the 2022 Thar is in terms of colour options. Earlier, Mahindra used to offer the new Thar in 6 colours. However, the Indian SUV maker has now discontinued the beige and copper colour from the range. The 2022 Thar is now available in red, grey, black and dark green.

The 2022 Mahindra Thar continues to come with two engine options — 2.2L turbo petrol and 2.0L turbo petrol. The 2.2L turbo diesel engine produces 130PS of power at 3750rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1600rpm and 2800rpm. The 2.0L turbo petrol engine, on the other hand, produces 150PS of power at 5000rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1250rpm and 3000rpm with the 6-speed manual and 320Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 3000rpm with the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
