2022 Mahindra Scorpio Teased — Key Design Elements Revealed | V3Cars
Mahindra and Mahindra have released yet another teaser for the 2022 Scorpio ahead of its debut in the coming weeks. The new teaser reveals key design elements of the 2022 Scorpio, including its front and side profiles. We expect Mahindra to launch the 2022 Scorpio in August 2022.
The upcoming Mahindra Scorpio, codenamed Z101, is one of the most anticipated car launches for this year. The new teaser reveals the 2022 Scorpio’s 7-slat chrome grille with the new Mahindra logo at the centre. The new SUV will feature LED projector headlights and C-shaped LED DRLs around the fog lamp housing. A honeycomb mesh on the lower part of the bumper can also be seen in the new teaser. At the side, the 2022 Scorpio will feature dual-tone alloy wheels, body cladding and chrome window garnish.

On the inside, the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will offer a new design for the dashboard and an updated set of features. It is likely to get features like automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, an electric sunroof, cruise control, Mahindra’s AdrenoX infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument cluster and dual-zone climate control. The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio is also likely to offer captain seats with individual armrests for middle row passengers. In addition to that, the 2022 Scorpio will ditch the side-facing rear seats for forward-facing third-row bench seating.

The 2022 Scorpio will be based on Mahindra’s Gen-2 ladder-on-frame chassis that underpins the Thar. We do not expect the 2022 Scorpio to have any drastic changes in terms of length, width and height. With all three rows up, the Scorpio is likely to lack boot space, as seen in the spy shots. However, we will reserve our judgement till we get to sample the 2022 Scorpio for ourselves. The new Scorpio will also borrow its powertrain options from the Thar, which include the 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel with both manual and automatic transmission options.
