2022 Maruti Baleno Base Variant Pictures Leaked | V3Cars

Pictures of the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno recently leaked online. These images give us a good idea of what the facelift will look like when it goes on sale. The images show the base variant of the new Baleno as the car in the pictures has black door handles and outside mirrors. Moreover, the fog lamps, rear wiper and washer are absent.

The visible changes are:

  • Larger grille

  • Restyled front and rear bumpers

  • Redesigned headlamp and tail lamp cluster

  • Flatter hood

  • Wide air dam and fog lamp housing

While the images of the side profile are not present, earlier spy shots suggest that it will remain the same.

The interior shots of the car that had earlier surfaced, reveal that it will get a new dashboard design as well with a free floating touchscreen infotainment system, new steering wheel, and horizontal AC vents. The touchscreen is likely to get a new interface and have a completely new UI with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The new Baleno will also carry over features from the current model like steering-mounted controls, power mirrors, keyless entry, push-button start/stop and auto AC. The car may also get cruise control as it’s starting to become commonplace in cars at Baleno’s price point.

On the powertrain front, we expect the Baleno’s hybrid engine to become the standard. Currently the hybrid engine is available as an option for almost Rs. 1.0 lakh (on-road).

The Baleno is a B2 segment hatchback and competes with Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20, Volkswagen Polo and Honda Jazz. The Baleno’s prices currently start from Rs. 6.0 lakh and go up to Rs. 9.45 lakh (ex-showroom). We expect the new Baleno to cost between Rs. 6.2 and Rs. 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom). After the launch of the new Baleno, we expect the Toyota Glanza, to also get a similar design update.
