2022 Citroen C3 electric Spied Ahead Of Launch | V3Cars

Citroen launched the C3 hatchback in July 2022 and within a few months, the French carmaker is set to bring the C3 electric SUV. Earlier spied testing wearing camouflage, a new undisguised image of the C3 Electric surfaced online recently.

Citroen have confirmed the launch of the C3 Electric SUV with a teaser along with a launch date, which is September 29. However, we are yet to get confirmation if it will only be a reveal or the market launch of the C3 electric. Citroen haven’t revealed the specifications and battery pack details of the C3 electric either and we expect to receive more information on September 29.

The new image of the C3 electric reveals no design changes over the ICE-powered C3. It continues to come with a chrome grille that extends into the LED DRLs and halogen headlights. Surprisingly, the C3 electric in the image lacks fog lamps and alloy wheels. It is worth noting that the C3 electric gets a charging port on the front right fender.

While it’s pretty early to judge, we can expect the C3 electric to undercut the Tata Nexon EV Prime and lead the segment until Tata come up with the Punch EV. Hence, the C3 electric will rival the Tata Tigor EV and the upcoming Tata Tiago EV for now. The Citroen C3 electric is likely to offer a range of 300km on a single charge.

Citroen could price the C3 electric below Rs. 10 lakh, undercutting the Tata Nexon EV and Tigor EV. The Tata Tigor EV’s prices range from Rs. 12.50 lakh to Rs. 13.50 lakh ex-showroom. Apart from the C3 electric, Citroen are also working on the C3 Aircross that could incorporate 3-row seating.
