The 2021 XC60 gets Volvo’s latest Android-powered 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with hands-free Google Assistant and Google Maps with other native in-car apps via Google Play. Volvo will offer the new infotainment system as a part of the Digital Services package and it will be rolled out on other Volvo cars soon.

Along with a new infotainment system, the facelifted XC60 also gets updated Volvo Cars’ latest Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. The current XC60 gets Driver Assistance features like Adaptive cruise control, Pilot Assist, front Collision Mitigation Support, Lane Keeping Aid, a 360-degree camera, Park Assist Pilot and front and rear parking sensors.

In terms of design, the XC60 facelift gets a mildly updated front fascia, redesigned front and rear bumpers and a new set of alloy wheels. On the inside, while the cabin layout remains unchanged, it features minor cosmetic changes.

Production of the 2021 XC60 will get underway by the end of 2021. So, expect the updated SUV to launch in India by the end of this year. Volvo has already confirmed that it will launch the updated XC60 in India this year. It will be offered by a turbocharged petrol engine replacing the 2.0-litre engine found on the current model.

Globally, Volvo offers the XC60 with two petrol powertrain options: T5 and T6. Both trims are powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. While in the T5 trim, it makes 250PS and 350Nm, in the T6 trim, it produces 316PS and 400Nm. Both the T5 and T6 are offered with an 8-speed automatic transmission only. Volvo also offers a 4WD system with both T5 and T6 engine options. We expect Volvo to offer the XC60 facelift in India in the T5 trim only.

Save for the engine and new infotainment system, other features on the XC60 facelift are will remain unchanged. It gets 6 airbags, wireless mobile charging, Bower and Wilkins sound system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 4-zone AC, panoramic sunroof and ventilated front seats with heat and massage function.
