2021 Isuzu D-Max Hi-Lander Spotted At A Dealership Ahead Of Launch

2021 Isuzu D-Max Hi-Lander Spotted At A Dealership Ahead Of Launch | V3Cars

It has been a few weeks since we reported that the 2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross have started reaching the dealerships. Now, the pickup’s Hi-Lander version has started reaching the dealerships. Isuzu will offer the D-Max pickup in two versions: D-Max Hi-Lander and D-Max V-Cross, the latter being the more premium one. Both the versions will be offered in multiple variants.

In terms of design, the D-Max Hi-Lander looks quite basic. It gets halogen headlamps, a black grille, black ORVMs, body-coloured door handles and steel wheels with wheel covers. Unlike the V-Cross, the Hi-Lander misses out on a side step, roof rails, fog lamps, alloy wheels and chrome treatment on the front grille, door handles and ORVMs.

Similarly, on the inside, the Hi-Lander gets basic features like manual AC and rear parking sensors. It misses out on features like a touchscreen infotainment system, push-button start, auto AC, compared to the V-Cross variants.

Under the hood, the D-Max Hi-Lander will be powered by the same 1.9-litre diesel engine as the D-Max V-Cross. It makes 150PS and 350Nm. While earlier this engine was offered with a 6-speed automatic transmission only, the image confirms it will be paired to a manual transmission on the Hi-Lander. That said, the D-Max Hi-Lander will be offered in the 2WD configuration only, unlike the D-Max V-Cross.

Isuzu is expected to launch the 2021 D-Max Hi-Lander in the coming few weeks as the carmaker has already teased the D-max V-Cross. Expect it to be priced less than the BS4 D-Max which was priced at Rs 16.55 lakh.
