10 Features Maruti Suzuki Brezza Lacks Over Hyundai Venue | V3Cars
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is one of the best-selling compact SUV in its segment. Ever since its launch, it has been bringing 5 digit sales for the carmaker. It rivals the Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet.
In this article, we share the features that are missing in the Brezza but available in the Hyundai Venue.
1. Power-adjustable Driver Seat
The updated Venue facelift offers power-adjustable driver seat as a segment-first feature. The Brezza, like every other sub-compact SUV, comes with a manually-adjustable driver seat. It is worth noting that the Venue only gets electric adjustment for fore and aft and backrest recline whereas the height adjustment continues to be a manual job.
2. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
The top variants of the Hyundai Venue comes with a high-line tyre pressure monitoring system. It tells the correct tyre pressure of an individual tyre and also alerts the driver in case of an underinflated tyre or a puncture. This feature is sorely missed in the Brezza and we think every new car in this segment should have this safety feature.

3. Rear Disc Brakes
The N Line trims of the Venue also offer rear disc brakes whereas the Brezza offers drum brakes for the rear. The addition of rear disc brakes further sharpens up the braking power and induces confidence.
4. Cornering Lamps
The new Venue comes with cornering lamps, which are incorporated within the headlight casing. Cornering lamps lights up the corners of the road while you are making a turn at night. The Brezza doesn’t offer cornering lamps. However, it gets LED fog lamps over the Venue, which no longer gets fog lamps.
5. Puddle Lamps
The new Venue also comes with puddle lamps, which are placed below the ORVMs. Puddle lamps light up the area surrounding the front doors to help you have a safe and easy ingress and egress at night.
6. Air Purifier
Hyundai Venue gets an in-cabin air purifier, which cleans up the air and removes dirt and other substances from the cabin. With increasing pollution, having an air purifier in your car becomes an absolute necessity.
7. Drive Modes
The turbo petrol engine in the new Venue comes with drive modes, namely eco, normal and sport. These modes alter the throttle response and overall performance of the powertrain. On the other hand, the Brezza only comes with a load mode with the automatic transmission in case you need to haul heavy weights.

8. Remote Engine Start
While both the Venue and Brezza come with connected car tech with a slew of features like vehicle diagnosis and live tracking, the Venue extends its lead with remote engine start. In addition to the mobile app, the Venue also lets you start the engine from the key fob itself and pre-cool the cabin.
9. Reclining Rear Seat
The backrest of the rear seat in the Venue comes with a 2-step recline function. However, this feature is not segment-first, as the now-discontinued EcoSport used to offer reclining seats. Currently, no other sub-compact SUV in the segment offers a reclining rear seat.
10. Leatherette Seats
Both the Venue and Brezza cost considerably more than their previous models. The Venue offers leatherette seats, which somewhat contributes to the high pricing whereas the Brezza continues to come with fabric seats.
