The 12 diesel-manual variants of the Mahindra Scorpio-N start at Rs. 13.60 lakh and go up to Rs. 22.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The Skoda Kushaq is not available with a diesel-manual powertrain.

The Mahindra Scorpio-N and the Skoda Kushaq are both SUVs. The Scorpio-N is 4662mm long, 1917mm wide and 1857mm tall. The Scorpio-N’s wheelbase is 2750mm long. The Kushaq measures 4225mm long, 1760mm wide and 1612mm tall and has a wheelbase measuring 2651mm. In terms of dimensions, the Mahindra Scorpio-N is significantly larger than the Skoda Kushaq. So, the Scorpio-N will offer a stronger road presence than the Kushaq.

The Skoda Kushaq is available with 2 petrol engines - a 1.0L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo petrol engine. The 1.0L turbo petrol engine gets a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed TC automatic transmission, while the 1.5L turbo petrol engine is available with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. 

The 1.0L turbo petrol engine of the Kushaq makes 115PS of power at 5000rpm and 178Nm of torque between 1750rpm and 4500rpm. The 1.5L turbo petrol engine in the Skoda Kushaq pushes out 150PS of power at 5000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1600rpm and 3500rpm.

The Mahindra Scorpio-N gets a 2.2L turbo diesel engine, which is available with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic TC transmission. The Scorpio-N’s turbo diesel engine makes 175PS of power at 3500rpm and 370Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 3000rpm with the manual and 400Nm of torque between 1750rpm and 2750rpm with the automatic transmission.
