Most Notable Features Of Toyota Innova Crysta

Toyota Innova Crysta is set to make a comeback with a diesel engine. Toyota could showcase the diesel-powered Innova Crysta at the 2023 Auto Expo alongside the new Innova Hycross hybrid and normal petrol. Toyota are yet to reveal the variants and features of the upcoming Innova Crysta. Here is a list of features we expect to see in the updated Innova Crysta diesel:

Toyota Innova Crysta Expected Specs

Toyota are likely to continue with the 2.4L turbo diesel engine in the new Innova Crysta. It is likely to comply with upcoming BS6 Phase-II emission norms that will come into effect in April 2023. The 2.4L diesel engine in the older Innova Crysta offered 150PS of power at 3400rpm and 343Nm of torque between 1400rpm and 2800rpm with the manual transmission and 360Nm of torque between 1400rpm and 2600rpm with the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It remains to be seen whether Toyota will offer the new Innova Crysta diesel with both manual and automatic options or offer it as a manual-only model.

Toyota Innova Crysta Rivals

Toyota Innova Crysta is a D1-segment family MPV and it goes up against the likes of the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, Mahindra Scorpio N, Mahindra Marazzo, MG Hector Plus, Kia Carens and Hyundai Alcazar.

Toyota Innova Crysta Launch Timeline

At the India debut of the Innova Hycross, Toyota India confirmed they would reintroduce  the Innova Crysta diesel in mid-January 2023. Hence, we expect Toyota to reveal the Innova Crysta diesel at the 2023 Auto Expo. Toyota could also reveal the prices of the Innova Crysta alongside the price announcement of the Innova Hycross.

Toyota Innova Crysta Expected Price

It’s hard to speculate the prices of the Innova Crysta diesel without having the list of variants and features in hand. We expect Toyota to charge a premium of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 for the new Innova Crysta over the equivalent variants of the now-discontinued Innova Crysta.
