MG MG5 Expected Specs

The MG5 comes with a standard 61kWh battery pack that channels power to a front mounted electric motor. Its power and torque outputs stand at 156PS and 279Nm of torque. The MG5 is offers a claimed range of up to 403km on a single charge. If you can find a 50kW DC fast charger, the MG5 can replenish its battery from 10% to 80% in just 61 minutes.

MG MG5 Rivals

The MG5 falls in the D1-segment and it is likely to rival the BYD E6. If we talk about its other prospective rivals, it will rub shoulders with the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 and BYD Atto 3.

MG are unlikely to launch the MG5 in the Indian market anytime soon. However, MG will showcase their autonomous driving technologies with the MG5 at the 2023 Auto Expo.

MG are not likely to launch the MG5 in India anytime soon. MG are set to bring the Air EV small electric hatchback to our shores in 2023 whereas the launch of the next-gen ZS EV is likely to take place in 2024.
