Maruti Suzuki Fronx Bookings Open (Baleno-Based Crossover/YTB) - Auto Expo 2023

After a long anticipation, Maruti Suzuki finally revealed the Fronx, which is the Baleno-based crossover or YTB we’ve seen testing on public roads for a while now. The carmaker also opened bookings for the Nexa Fronx today. The deliveries will start in the coming months.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx

The new Maruti Suzuki crossover looks like a nice mix of design from the Baleno and Grand Vitara. The Fronx’s face looks like the Grand Vitara with its big, mesh-pattern grille and 3-element LED DRLs. The connected tail lamp cluster of the Fronx around the back also looks like that of the Grand Vitara.

Overall, it has a pleasing design but it doesn’t have the butch road presence and SUV stance like that of the Tata Punch. The Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger also beat the Fronx in terms of design and road presence. Since it shares the platform with the Baleno, you can expect it to offer similar cabin space and practicality as the premium hatchback from Nexa.

The Fronx is a B2-segment SUV/crossover and it competes with the following cars:
