Maruti Suzuki Likely To Showcase YTB SUV At Auto Expo 2023

Most Notable Features Of Maruti Suzuki YTB

The Maruti Suzuki YTB crossover SUV is set to become the latest offering from the carmaker and is likely to be Maruti’s showstopper along with the Jimny. The Maruti Suzuki YTB is likely to be the production-spec version of the Futuro-e concept that was on display at the 2020 Auto Expo. The test units of the YTB have been spotted multiple times in various parts of the country, revealing key design elements and features. The upcoming YTB is likely to include the following features:

- Split LED headlights

- Nexa signature chrome grille

- LED tail lights

- 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system

- Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

- Head-up display

Maruti Suzuki YTB Expected Specifications

The powertrain details of the Maruti Suzuki YTB are not known yet. However, we expect Maruti Suzuki to offer it with a 1.0L turbo petrol engine. This engine made its debut in India with the Baleno RS but was later discontinued due to low sales. The 1.0L turbo petrol engine will let the YTB fit under sub-4m tax slab, making it relatively affordable. Maruti Suzuki could offer this engine with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT).

The Maruti Suzuki YTB will go up against sub-compact SUVs such as the Tata Punch, Citroen C3, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger. It will sit below the Brezza in the brand’s portfolio.

Maruti Suzuki YTB Launch Timeline

Maruti Suzuki are likely to showcase the YTB at the 2023 Auto Expo and its launch could take place soon after the auto show. We expect Maruti Suzuki to launch the YTB in mid-2023 with a competitive price tag.

Maruti Suzuki YTB Expected Price

Maruti Suzuki are likely to offer the YTB via their Nexa chain of dealerships. It will slot between the Baleno and Grand Vitara in the Nexa portfolio. We expect Maruti Suzuki to price the YTB in the range of Rs. 7.50 lakh to 12.00 lakh ex-showroom.
