Is Kushaq Underpowered?
Although we are yet to drive the production-spec SUV, we got a chance to drive the pre-production model. The 1.0-litre TSI engine offers good drivability in the city and is powerful enough for highway drives. The 1.5-litre engine, being a bigger engine, offers more power and torque and is sportier to drive. If you plan to drive the SUV fully loaded with 5 occupants and boot, you will be better off having the 1.5-litre TSI unit.

The Kushaq will be offered with two petrol engines: a 1.0-litre TSI and a 1.5-litre TSI. While the 1.0-litre engine is a 3-cylinder unit, the 1.5-litre engine is a 4-cylinder unit.
