Depending on the variant, you’ll have to cover 1.32 lakh to 1.52 lakh km with the Honda Amaze diesel manual to recover the extra price you pay upfront over the Amaze petrol.

With the automatic, you’ll have to drive at least 2.3 lakh km to justify buying the Amaze diesel over the petrol automatic.

Should You Buy Honda Amaze Petrol Or Diesel?

With the Amaze manual transmission, the km-to-breakeven is quite high at well above 1 lakh kilometres. While the 1.2L petrol engine offers acceptable performance, even if you factor in the higher torque output of the diesel engine, the km-to-breakeven figure still remains quite high and we cannot not recommend buying the Amaze diesel over the petrol variants.

For automatic buyers, the km-to-breakeven figure is even higher because of the lower mileage of the Amaze diesel CVT. Moreover, you also get lower power and torque than the diesel manual variant. So, we strongly recommend not buying the Amaze diesel automatic over the petrol automatic variants.
