You can use the VIN, or vehicle identification number, to find the month and year of manufacturing of any vehicle. Every vehicle comes with a VIN, which is easily accessible. In this article, we explain how to read the VIN number of Toyota vehicles and know their month and year of manufacturing.

How To Read VIN Number Of Toyota Vehicles?

A VIN number consists of multiple characters and digits and it could span up to 22 characters. However, the number of characters and digits varies from one carmaker to the next, but there are essentially 2 characters that are required to know the manufacturing date of any vehicle. In the case of Toyota vehicles, their VIN number generally consists of 22 characters.

In Toyota vehicles, the 19th and 20th characters represent the month of manufacturing and the 21th and 22nd characters represent the year of manufacturing. You can use the table below to check the month and year of manufacturing of your Toyota Vehicle.

For instance, if your vehicle’s VIN is MBJBA3FS25683700211021, then the 19th character and 20th character, which in this case are 1 and 0, represents the month of manufacturing. The 21st character and 22nd character, which are 2 and 1 in this case, represent the year of manufacturing. Hence, the vehicle with the VIN number MBJBA3FS25683700211021 was manufactured in October 2021.
