The Renault Arkana is one of the very few mass-market coupe SUVs in global markets. The Arkana incorporates a sloping roofline along with the practicality and design of an SUV. It gets Renault’s signature design elements along with an impressive list of features.

Renault Arkana Expected Specs

The Renault Arkana E-Tech hybrid coupe SUV comes with a self-charging strong hybrid drivetrain. Renault also offer the Arkana with a 1.3L turbo petrol engine in international markets. However, Renault are likely to showcase the hybrid version of the Arkana at the auto show. The Arkana coupe hybrid uses a 1.6L petrol engine and a 1.2kWh battery pack. The hybrid setup offers a combined power output of 142PS. Meanwhile, the engine produces a peak torque of 148Nm while the electric motor produces 250Nm.

Renault Arkana Rivals

The Arkana is a D1 segment SUV but thanks to its unique bodystyle, it doesn’t have any direct rivals in the market. In terms of dimensions, the Arkana goes up against the likes of the Tata Harrier, MG Hector and Mahindra XUV700 5-seater. It is worth mentioning that Mahindra are also working on a coupe SUV for the Indian market and that’s is likely to fall in the same territory as the Arkana SUV.

Renault Arkana Launch Timeline

Renault are yet to confirm the launch of the Ariana in India. While it has been spied on our roads multiple times, Renault could be using it as a test bed for future powertrain or platform choices. We will have a better understanding about the same at the 2023 Auto Expo.

Renault Arkana Expected Price

As we stated earlier, Renault haven’t confirmed their plans to bring the Arkana coupe SUV to our market. If Renault plan to launch the coupe SUV via the CKD route, it is likely to fall in the price range of Rs. 25 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh ex-showroom.
