What Are The Engine Specifications Of The 2020 Hyundai Aura Diesel?

The Aura’s 1.2L diesel engine delivers a maximum power of 75PS and peak torque of 190Nm. In this segment, the most powerful diesel engine comes under the hood of the Ford Aspire, which generates 100PS of maximum power and 215Nm of peak torque. When the rest of the rival models in this segment are concerned, then the Honda Amaze also offers 100PS of power, but a bit less torque at 200Nm. In terms of fuel efficiency, the Aura’s claimed fuel efficiency exceeds all its rivals in the segment at 25.35kmpl.

The Aura comes equipped with an AMT and the Honda Amaze gets a CVT type automatic transmission. The Ford Aspire does not have diesel-automatic powertrain yet.

Aura S Variant 

S is the base variant in the Hyundai Aura diesel range. The Aura S offers all the basic safety features that a modern-day car is expected to offer. Its features list includes - Dual Front Airbags, ABS with EBD, Reverse Parking Sensors, Seatbelt Reminder and Speed Alert System. Apart from these standard features, Aura also offers Emergency Stop Signal, which gets activated in case of extreme braking. The Aura also gets driver and passenger side seat belt pretensioners and load limiters; moreover, there’s also ISOFIX seat anchorage for those who have small children and use child seats. 

You will also get additional safety features in the S variant, such as Central Locking, Front Projector Fog Lamps, Rear Defogger, Day & Night Adjustable IRVM, Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock and Impact Sensing Auto Door Unlock. There’s also a headlamp escort function, which turns the headlamps on automatically for some time upon door lock and unlock, so that you get a view of the road ahead of the car.
